If I had to pick a single moment in my life that stood out the most to me, it would be the time that I had a very intellectual conversation with my friend Edgar. We were at his house and out of curiosity, my mind wanders everywhere, I asked what he thought the word “freedom” meant to him. He told me there are many ways that the word freedom can be interpreted, but one particular thing stood out to him. To him, freedom meant “no limitations”, and he states that his meaning his so simple and vague because he attains the belief that simplicity is key. On that note, I shared the same mindset because I believe that the more non-complex things are, the less people would be prone to getting into problems. I believe that the same idea applies to everything, for example; living a simpler lifestyle rids the chances of you stressing out, due to the decreased amount of aspects in life. Buddhism, the religion, establishes lifestyle based on this philosophy, earning them a zen and peaceful life.
